Bread & Butter Pudding
Ingredients
5 slices of bread
1 handful of raisins
1-2oz butter
150ml full fat milk
300ml double cream
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla essence
3oz Caster Sugar
Method
1. Butter the bread and cut into shapely pieces for the cooking dish
2. Placing the bread into the cooking dish, sprinkling the raisins over and between the slices.
3. Beat the egg and mix it with the cream, milk and vanilla essence
4. Pour the egg and cream mixture over the bread and leave to rest. tilt the coooking dish to ensure the bread is fully covered and soaking up the milk.
5. Cook at 180C for 30-40 minutes.
