Ingredients
- 1kg Chicken Wings
- Cornflour
- Sesame Seeds
- Spring Onions (Chopped)
- Vegetable Oil (for frying)
For the sauce
- Large Chunk Ginger (Pealed and Chopped)
- 3 Cloves Garlic (Chopped)
- 9 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 3 tbsp Gochujang Sauce
- 3tsp sesame Oil
- 3tbsp light soy sauce, +1 dark!
Method
- Make the sauce by combining all sauce ingredients in a pan and bring to a simmer. When simmering for a couple of minutes, turn off heat and leave .
- Season the wings (salt and pepper) and cover with flour.
- Shallow fry wings in work with a couple of cm oil. You may need to do this in a couple of batches to ensure all are cooked evenly. This will take 10mins or so
- When golden, drain off oil and pour over sauce. Heat through and add sesame seeds and sliced spring onions.
- Serve with rice!
